EU prolongs sanctions against Russia for 6 months, exempts 4 people
BRUSSELS, Sep 13 (PRIME) -- The Council of the E.U. has prolonged the existent individual sanctions against almost 1,800 Russian people and organizations over the breach of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity for six months but has removed four people from the list, according to a statement of the authority published Wednesday.
"The Council decided today to prolong the restrictive measures targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for another six months, until 15 March 2024," the statement read.
The authority announced a later release of the revised blacklist.
